Free Space Ultra-low Loss Compact CWDM Optical Add and Drop Module

Abstract

We have implemented two types of 4-channel compact CWDM OADM by using free-space cascading structures. With geometrical and optical optimization, we have demonstrated an ultra low insertion loss of 0.7dB for add/drop, and 1.0 dB for express channel.
