A Pixelized VOA Based on Liquid Crystal on Silicon

Abstract

We have fabricated a 512-pixel liquid crystal VOA with biased PWM based on liquid crystal on silicon, using ITiO as a common electrode. The VOA is suitable for making tunable filters with low driver voltage.
