Abstract

Discretely tunable single-mode erbium-doped fiber ring laser is fabricated with tuning range over 70 nm in C- and L-band utilizing a Fabry-Perot etalon and a saturable absorber. This matches to ITU-T 25-GHz frequency grid at 361 channels with excellent flatness.
