Complete Time and Frequency-dependent Modeling of Electro-Absorption Modulators

Abstract

We present a wideband model for optical modulators, which simultaneously accounts for time- and wavelength-dependent effects. We validate static and dynamic modeling using real world measurements of modulators having usually an especially complex behavior.
