Abstract

We show that a LiNbO₃ Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM) with optical unbalancing in the two waveguides produces a chirped NRZ data stream without inducing spectral broadening.as it happens with conventional chirped MZM (which employ electrical asymmetry).
