Fiber-based all-optical 2R regeneration of multiple WDM channels

We propose a WDM-capable 2R regenerator employing a combination of off-center filtering of SPM-broadened spectra and inter-channel-nonlinearity-suppressing dispersion map enabled by periodic group-delay devices. Our numerical simulations demonstrate 1.5-dB eyeopening improvement by this regenerator.
