Extending Transmission Distance in Wavelength Reused Fiber-Radio Links with FBG Filters

Abstract

We present a simple, passive technique that significantly extends the transmission distance of wavelength reused fiber-radio links. The technique works by optimizing the modulation depth that allows the use of 95-99% reflective fiber Bragg gratings.
