Abstract

MCI, Ciena, and Mintera successfully demonstrated the capability of overlaying a production quality 40 Gbps CS-RZ optical signal on a Ciena-designed 1200 km ultra long-haul (ULH) system over an MCI multi-span, mixed-field fiber route from Sacramento to Salt Lake City.
