Abstract

Mitigation of PMD distortions is performed at 40 Gb/s using a wavelength preserving semiconductor based all-optical 3R regenerator. The mitigation of PMD is successfully demonstrated by eye analysis and BER measurements for an average DGD of 10.2 ps.
