WDM Reconfigurable Optical Delay Buffer for Optical Packet Switched Networks

Abstract

We propose a new scheme for wavelength selective reconfigurable optical delay buffer using folded-path architecture. Experimental results show that multiple 10 Gbps WDM packets can simultaneously be delayed variable amount of time with less than 1 dB power penalty.
