Experimental Demonstration of All-Optical “Missing Chip Detection” to alleviate Near-Far Effect in O-CDMA Systems

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel receiver design for O-CDMA systems based on all-optical missing-chip detection. Penalty due to near-far effect is reduced by >8dB compared to the conventional receiver and the interference-tolerance is increased by >6dB.
