Abstract
This paper shows that the Aerial Medium Voltage (MV) PowerGrid rivals Fiber in Capacity, at UHF/VHF bands, offering measured spectral densities upto 15-20 Bps/Hz in a repeatered system, with Shannon Capacities reaching OC12/OC48 rates. Its ubiquitous deployment, channelization, and the general availability of unused VHF/UHF broadcast channels, implies excellent suitability as a Metro/Access solution.
