Demultiplexing 160/320 Gb/s to 40 Gb/s using a single SOA assisted by an optical filter

Abstract

Error-free demultiplexing of 40-Gb/s base-rate channels out of a 160-Gb/s OTDM signal is achieved using a single SOA and an optical filter. Performance of demultiplexing 320 Gb/s using this technique is also presented.
