Abstract

We propose a WDM-TDM PON architecture with a RSOA-based colorless ONU where the downstream wavelength shared between 8 or 16 users is remodulated to generate upstream signals. 1.25Gbit/s down- and up-stream transmissions were demonstrated over single-fibre and two-fibre architectures.
