10 GHz 0.5 ps pulse generation in 1000 nm band in PCF for high speed optical communication

Abstract

We achieved the first 10 GHz 0.5 ps pulses at 1063 nm by employing the higherorder soliton effect in PCF. We compressed 11 ps pulses from an Yb fiber laser stabilized with PLL technology.
