Abstract

We propose to use a forward-pumped discrete Raman amplifier with a linear feed-forward pump control algorithm to compensate accumulated inter-channel SRS and residual EDFA transients. The method was shown to perform well in both static and dynamic experiments. OCIS codes: (060.2330) Fiber optics communications; (190.5650) Raman effects
