120 Gb/s OFDM Transmission with Direct Detection using Compatible Single-Sideband Modulation

Abstract

A short haul transmission system for 120Gb/s compatible with 50GHz channel spacing and capable of direct detection is suggested using OFDM combined with compatible SSB. Simulation results show a reach well suited for metro applications.
