Abstract

PDM QPSK combined with coherent detection is seen as a promising modulation scheme for high bit-rate transmission (40Gb/s and above). The impact of Polarization-Division Multiplexing on the tolerance to nonlinearities is investigated here with 10Gbaud signals.
