Dynamic Wavelength Allocation in a Converged and Scalable Interface for Metro-Access Ring Integrated Networks

Abstract

A flexible metro-access interface employs dynamic wavelength allocation to provide bandwidth sharing between access and metro traffic is proposed. Simulations show the MARIN architecture achieves superior performance and lower cost when compared to other architectures.
