Synchronous Parametric Amplification for Regeneration of 160Gbit/s OTDM Signal

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a simple all-optical regeneration scheme for 160Gbit/s OTDM signal. Retiming and amplitude-limiting functions are simultaneously performed by parametric amplification of a signal with an optical clock synchronized by an OPLL technique.
