Abstract

We describe an all-optical method for rate multiplication of pseudo-random bit sequences. We quadruplicate, error-freely to 50 Gb/s, a 27–1, 12.5 Gb/s sequence. The scheme is a feedback loop and comprises of two nonlinear gates.
