Abstract

Recent progress on single-channel and frequency-division-multiplexed (FDM) 128 QAM coherent optical transmission is presented. The spectral efficiency as high as 10 bit/s/Hz is successfully demonstrated by using polarization-multiplexing and Nyquist filter.
