25Gbps 1.3μm DFB Laser for 10-25km Transmission in 100GBE Systems

Abstract

We report on a 1.3μm DFB laser with, to our knowledge, record modulation efficiency of 3.7GHz/mA1/2, demonstrating open eyes after 25km transmission at 25Gbps, under maximum positive dispersion conditions.
