Asynchronous and Packetized Transmission in Optical CDMA Distributed Sensor Network

Abstract

We demonstrate asynchronous, packetized data transmission from distributed commercial sensors in an optical CDMA network. Error-free transmission is obtained and the near-far problem is reduced using all-optical signal processing with a nonlinear optical loop-mirror.
