Tunable DWDM XFP with an External Cavity Laser Transmitter and Transmission Performance Matching 300-Pin Transponders

Abstract

A full C-Band tunable 10G DWDM XFP using external cavity laser (ECL) technology is presented. Using this approach, we demonstrate performance on par with traditional 300-pin transponders, enabling the system equipment transition to higher density with pluggable optics.
