Abstract

We investigate the impact of ultra-narrow carrier spacing on the transmission of a 1Tb/s superchannel comprising 10x100Gb/s PM-QPSK carriers. We demonstrate 2200km over installed SMF fibre with a carrier spacing of 1.1 the Baud rate.
