Integrated Drop-Filter for Dispersion Compensation Based on SOI Rib Waveguides

Abstract

A drop-filter for dispersion compensation based on tapered Bragg gratings in SOI waveguides is presented. We show fabrication and characterization of the device, which separates one WDM channel with an overall loss of 3 dB.
