Abstract

Quadrature duobinary (QDB) modulation with coherent detection is proposed for 112-Gb/s transmission systems. With proper system design for maximum spectral efficiency, we show that dual polarization QDB can achieve 112-Gb/s transmission on 25-GHz channel spacing.
