Abstract

We investigate the feasibility of ADC sampling rate below 2x versus optical/electrical bandwidths in 100G-PM-QPSK coherent receivers. We find <0.5 dB penalty for rates down to 5/4x even for dispersion as high as 24,000 ps/nm.
