Abstract

We propose a simple optoelectronic method to compensate for cross-phase modulation in long-haul systems. Simulations show >1.3 dB improvement in Q for 1200-km 40 and 100-Gbit/s CO-QPSK and CO-OFDM channels with 10-Gbit/s NRZ neighbors.
