OSNR-Enhancing Pure-Silica-Core Fiber with Large Effective Area and Low Attenuation

Abstract

Pure-silica-core fiber with large Aeff of 134m2 is designed to enhance OSNR considering splice loss to SSMF, and realized by appropriate depressed cladding profile and soft primary coating. It also exhibits low attenuation of 0.169dB/km.
