Nonlinear Polarization Crosstalk Canceller for Dual-Polarization Digital Coherent Receivers

Abstract

A novel method is proposed to compensate polarization crosstalk induced by inter-channel nonlinearity. Experiments have demonstrated that the proposed method provides over 1 dB performance improvement for 112 Gb/s dual-polarization QPSK coherent receivers.
