Stable self-seeding of R-SOAs for WDM-PONs

Abstract

Self-seeding of R-SOAs is a polarization dependent process resulting in unstable operations. We experimentally demonstrate a passive stabilization technique enabling class carrier availability in 1.25 Gb/s WDM-PONs.
