Abstract

We demonstrate 1.2-Tbit/s/port polarization-multiplexed optical packet (20 Gbit/s DQPSK × 30λ × 2 Polarization) switching and buffering. Our optical packet switch system with low polarization dependent loss achieves error-free operation for all payload channels.
