Signal Chirp Design for Suppression of Nonlinear Polarization Scattering in DP-QPSK Transmission

Abstract

We analyze chirp techniques for suppression of nonlinear effects in DP-QPSK transmission. Simulations reveal that a significant reduction in nonlinear polarization scattering can be achieved by properly chirping the two polarization tributaries.
