Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate a tunable and reconfigurable optical tapped delay line using conversion dispersion based delays with optical multicasting and multiplexing. After equalization, at BER of 10-9 and 3 dB power penalty, dispersion tolerance is improved by >50% and 200% for 80-Gbit/s RZ-DQPSK and 40-Gbit/s RZ-DPSK signals, respectively.
