Abstract

We have jointly developed, with our customer, Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH), and our software integration partner, NEC, a multi-PETA-scale supercomputer system that consists of commodity processors, graphics processors, and full bi-section InfiniBand topology across 3 rooms over 2 floors and occupying less than 200 ft2. The talk introduces our field experience with large-scale system design and deployment. The dual Infiniband fabric using optical fiber technology in the form of active optical cables will be described.
