Phase Modulated Optical Millimeter Wave Generation Based on Externally Injected Gain Switched Laser

Abstract

A novel, simple, and cost effective set up for generating phase modulated millimeter-waves is experimentally demonstrated by using an externally injected gain switched laser. System performance has been investigated for 2.5Gbps downstream data.
