Trunk Fiber Sharing for CO Consolidation Using Dynamic Spectrum Management

Abstract

For integrated metro-access networks, multiple PONs sharing a single trunk fiber is proposed using dynamic spectrum management. Experimental results demonstrate 4 XG-PONs, each with 40km-reach and 64-split, share a single inter-office fiber in metro network.
