Ultra-fast, High-resolution, and Linear Characterization of Passive Optical Components via Optical Channel Estimation

Abstract

We extend the DSP-based optical channel estimation to ultra-fast, high-resolution, and linear characterization of passive optical components. In experiment, we realize sub-MHz resolution with a measurement time bounded by the theoretical limit.
