Abstract

We put forward a 2N-bit bipolar photonic digital-to-analog converter (PDAC) scheme based on multi-wavelength optical DQPSK modulation in combination with balanced detection and demonstrate it in a 2.5GS/s 4-bit PDAC experiment.
