Ultra-compact Si-photonic DQPSK demodulator

Abstract

We propose an ultra-compact DQPSK demodulator based on silicon nano-photonics using a polarization diversity approach. Using interleaved delay-line interferometers, a low polarization dependent frequency shift of 0.5 GHz has been obtained.
