Variable All-Optical buffering for DQPSK Packets

Abstract

All-optical buffering of 56Gbps DQPSK packets based on a SOA-boosted recirculating fiber loop is demonstrated. The scheme effectiveness is proven by BER measurements for a maximum delay of 25μs. Crosstalk impairment is also investigated.
