Abstract

A re-circulating-loop optical memory exploiting regenerative amplification by crossgain-compression in a SOA is reported. Hundred circulations with maximum delay of 130μs with 0.5dB power penalty every 10 rounds are obtained with 10Gbps NRZ and RZ-packets.
