A Heuristic for Minimizing SBRR Homing Costs

Abstract

The shared backup router resources (SBRR) homing architecture leads to significant cost reductions compared to dual homing. We propose a novel heuristic approach and evaluate its performance for different network topologies and varying traffic demand.
