Abstract

A wavelength tunable quantum dot external-cavity laser and ultra-broadband holey fiber transmission line were developed using novel nano-structured materials for successful demonstration of error-free 10-Gb/s, 11.4-km long transmission on a 1.3-μm waveband photonic transport system.
