Abstract

We developed an OLT, using SOAs as booster and preamplifier for loss-budget extension, with our proposed burst-mode SOA controller for satisfying high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. 10.3-Gb/s transmission with 37.9-dB loss budget was obtained.
