Narrow Linewidth Discrete Mode Laser Diodes for Advanced Modulation Formats

Abstract

We report on discrete mode laser diodes with narrow linewidth and show comparable performance to an external cavity laser in a QPSK setup at baud rates as low as 2.5 Gbaud.
