Energy and Deployment Efficiency of a Millimeter-Wave Radio-on-Radio-over-Fiber System for Railways

Abstract

We propose a radio access network for railways employing millimeter-wave Radio-on-Radio-over-fiber and distributed antenna system, and evaluate its energy and deployment efficiency. We show a trade-off relation between the metrics and drive optimum system design.
