Improvement of Signal Quality after Long-Haul Transmission over Multi-Core Fiber with Adaptive MIMO-FDE Using Time-Domain Coefficient Selection

Abstract

We show numerically signal degradation due to excess noise in adaptive MIMO-FDE used on transmission over MCF. We propose coefficient selection in time domain and obtain up to 2.9 dB of Q factor improvement.
